Every year Nursery Management Today, an industry magazine, hosts Awards to recognise the “best of the best” in the childcare sector. We have been so proud to enter the awards every year, since 2015, and this year we are thrilled that Cherubs Edwinstowe have been recognised and shortlisted in the Community Nursery of the Year category – which is new for 2020.
As the only established nursery in Edwinstowe, Nursery Manager Sarah and her team work hard to ensure that the community is central to everything they do. From taking part in community events to fundraising and hosting the local residential home for Afternoon Tea the nursery really is proud to be part of such a historic, diverse and bright community.
On their website, Nursery Management Today, state that “Our awards are designed to reward excellence in childcare and provide a unique opportunity to participate in a spectacular evening celebrating your achievements. The awards are open to anyone working in the early year’s childcare and nursery sector and we have a wide range of categories to encompass the best achievements across the board. After entries close, the nominations are narrowed down to 4 or 5 finalists in each category by an independent panel of judges, our finalists are then invited to a judging day where they meet with a panel of 2 judges with diverse experience covering all of the categories for a 15 minute interview.” However, due to COVID-19, we were required to submit a supporting video entry and the ceremony will take place virtually on Thursday 26th November.
Susan Mills, Managing Director commented “Despite the challenges COVID-19 has imposed on our business our nurseries continue to successfully operate and exceed not only our expectations but those of our parents and the communities we serve. Earlier in the month, three of our nurseries were listed in the Top 20 Nurseries in the East Midlands. Adding this recognition on top for Cherubs Edwinstowe highlights our commitment to providing the very best outcomes for all children despite the on-going challenges we face. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank the local community in Edwinstowe who have welcomed Cherubs Nurseries into their wonderful village.”
