So you’re interested in Cherubs Mansfield Woodhouse? Let Nursery Manager, Rebecca tell you more about it…

Cherubs Childcare Centre, Mansfield Woodhouse is a large nursery, just outside Mansfield town centre, situated next to Morrison’s. There are regular bus and train links into Mansfield, the surrounding areas and further afield and direct access to the A60, which means it’s great to both local and commuting parents alike.

When it comes to Ofsted I’m proud to say that we have maintained our Ofsted “Outstanding” rating for a while now. In our most recent Ofsted inspection, which took place on 18th August 2016, Ofsted Inspector, Tracy Hopkins praised the nursery saying “teaching is inspirational and consistently of a very high quality. Staff are highly responsive in meeting all children’s individual needs. Moreover, children’s creativity is enriched as they express themselves freely in imaginative play and creative activities.” If you would like to read more, please download the report here.

We have a very well-established team here at Cherubs Mansfield Woodhouse. Many of my colleagues have been here for years and it’s great to see the same smiley faces everyday. It’s great for us and even better for the children as it means that they are able to build strong bonds with the childcare team, enhancing their time at nursery. All our childcare team are DBS checked and training towards accredited qualifications. We also train the entire team in Paediatric First Aid and Safe Guarding, the children’s safety and welfare is paramount and we know, first hand, that there can be no compromise on this.

Finally, a little more about me. I have been with Cherubs Nurseries since 2001 and have progressed to where I am today, after starting as an Apprentice Nursery Practitioner. It really has been one fantastic journey and it makes me so proud to see how far the nursery has come over the past 18 years. I have always worked within the childcare sector and could not imagine myself doing anything else. Thinking about my qualifications, I hold a Level 5 in Management, Level 2 in Adult Mental Health and have also completed my Paediatric First Aid. I am also the SENDCO for Cherubs Mansfield Woodhouse and am currently working towards my Level 2 in Child Mental Health.

There is so much more I would love to tell you about our nursery. However, nothing beats coming to view the nursery for yourself. With that being said, I would like to invite you to come for a show round at your leisure to see what makes us so special.”
