So you’re interested in Cherubs Worksop? Let Nursery Manager, Jane tell you more about it…
Cherubs Day Nursery, Worksop is a purpose built nursery located in Worksop, Nottinghamshire. There are regular bus and train links into Sheffield, Nottingham and further afield and direct access to the A1 and A60, which means it’s great for both local and commuting parents alike.
When it comes to Ofsted I’m more than proud to say that we have maintained our Ofsted “Outstanding” grading for some time now. In our most recent inspection, which took place on 22nd August 2016, Ofsted Inspector, Hayley Ruane praised the nursery, commenting “the well-qualified staff team has an excellent understanding of how children learn through play and what to do to support their progression. They plan activities and experiences that build on their interests and support them to make rapid progress in their learning. Moreover, staff are extremely effective in supporting children who speak English as an additional language to make excellent progress.” If you would like to read more, please download the report here.
We have a very well-established team here at Cherubs Worksop. Many of my colleagues have been here for years and it’s great to see the same smiley faces everyday. It’s great for us and even better for the children as it means that they are able to build strong bonds with the childcare team, enhancing their time at nursery. All our childcare team are DBS checked and training towards accredited qualifications. We also train the entire team in Paediatric First Aid and Safe Guarding, the children’s safety and welfare is paramount and we know, first hand, that there can be no compromise on this.
Finally, a little more about me. I have been part of Cherubs Nurseries since 2007. I decided to pursue a career in Childcare as I wanted to support families and ensure that children had the best start in life. I hold a variety of qualifications including Level 5 in Management, Level 4 in Children and Young People’s Services and Level 2 in Team Leading.
There is so much more I would love to tell you about our nursery. However, nothing beats coming to view the nursery for yourself. With that being said, I would like to invite you to come for a show round at your leisure to see what makes us so special.”

Blossom Educational Software
Blossom allows the childcare team to effectively track your child’s learning journey, electronically, via iPads. You can view this, at any time, and contribute via the parents smartphone app.
Food for thought
When it comes to nursery food Cherubs Worksop has a slightly different approach. We’re proud to be a totally egg-free nursery. Our Nursery Chef, Joanne creates fantastic menus to support this and the compliments we have received from children and parents have been fantastic.
As for standards we expect a lot from ourselves and so can you. Our kitchen is regularly expected by the Food Standards Agency, where we have been praised for our high standards. Our seasonal nursery menus are also well-balanced, varied and are always created with the School Foods Standards in mind. We’re also proud to cater for children with special dietary needs including allergies, intolerances and cultural preferences.

What do parents say about
Very pleased with Cherubs Worksop. Staff are friendly to all children and parents. My child always has fun when he is there. Handovers are good and supported by Blossom app, which is very useful. The outside space is excellent and children are free to explore (under supervision) which I know my son enjoys enormously.
I am very happy that my child went to this nursery because it was very important to me that my child would be happy and safe. The beginnings of my son's time here may have been difficult due to the language barrier (the first language at home is Polish) and with the new environment of new people. Never before has my son stayed with anyone else. The person to whom a part of the group my son belongs to took into account my instructions regarding the character of the child. She helped my son during this difficult time. I am very happy that my child is going to this nursery with a big smile, telling me that they care about him, he can always count on support, hugs and interest. Thanks to the work Cherubs Worksop has done.
Our little boy has been attending Cherubs Worksop for 6 months now and in that time his development has come on incredibly. The facilities are always clean and the staff look after the children as if they are their own. The Blossom App is fantastic as it gives patients a full summary of this child's day and I love seeing a new 'golden moment' appear when my son has done something special. The best part for me is the food the children eat, my son eats more food at 15 months than I do at 32 years!
