This week, we are celebrating National Apprenticeship Week. This annual celebration of apprenticeships will bring the whole apprenticeship community together to celebrate the impact of apprenticeships on individuals, employers and the economy. With this in mind, we are excited to announce the launch of our Apprenticeship Training Week. To strengthen the quality of our apprenticeship we are now inviting all new apprentices into our Training Academy for a 4-day training course, before they start at our nurseries. We believe that by doing this we will equip them with a basic foundation and knowledge of best practice, our expectation and the tools to exceed from day one.
The 4-day induction course will cover a variety of topics including child welfare and comfort, child nutrition and food service, partnership with parents and teaching and learning. There will also be external talks and the new entrants will have the opportunity to meet our Managing Director, hearing from her first hand the story behind Cherubs Nurseries and her exciting plans for the future. At the end of the week, all apprentices will receive their uniform and attend their “graduation” ceremony where they will receive their completion certificate and Cherubs wings.
Commenting on the exciting plans, Susan Mills, Managing Director said “Back in 2018, we opened our training academy and it’s great to see it go from strength to strength. The training team are continually innovating and coming up with great ideas to improve the training we offer – which I believe is one of the most robust and thorough in the industry. Taking the time to out to give our new apprentices a thorough induction to Cherubs Nurseries and the early year’s will allow them get stuck straight in to nursery life when they start at our nurseries. I am looking forward to seeing the success of this new way of training and the calibre of our new apprentices who have completed it.”
