So you’re interested in our world of sticky fingers, smiles and legendary childcare, at Cherubs Executive House? Let Nursery Manager, Faye tell you more about it…
“Cherubs Day Nursery, Executive House is a large nursery located in Bulwell, Nottingham. There are regular bus and train links into Nottingham, the surrounding areas and further afield and direct access to the A60 and M1, which means it’s great for both local and commuting parents alike. As we’re one of only a few nurseries in the area the nursery has a real community feel and we are proud of the relationship we’ve established with the local people.
When it comes to Ofsted I’m proud to say that we have maintained our “Good” rating for some time now. In our most recent Ofsted inspection, which took place on 19th January 2017, Ofsted Inspector, Sharon Alleary praised the nursery, stating that “the provider and her management team are extremely passionate and committed to achieving and maintaining the best possible outcomes for children and that teaching is good and, on occasions, outstanding.” If you would like to read more, please download the report here.
We have a very well-established team here at Cherubs Executive House. Many of my colleagues have been here for years and it’s great to see the same smiley faces everyday. It’s great for us and even better for the children as it means that they are able to build strong bonds with the childcare team, enhancing their time at nursery. All our childcare team are DBS checked and training towards accredited qualifications. We also train the entire team in Paediatric First Aid and Safe Guarding, the children’s safety and welfare is paramount and we know, first hand, that there can be no compromise on this.
Finally, a little more about me. I have been working with Cherubs Nurseries since 2008. I’ve trained across the Cherubs Nurseries chain and have progressed to where I am today. Childcare is always something that I have wanted to do from a young age and I could not see myself doing anything else. I currently hold a Level 4 in Childcare and am the designated SENDCO. I have also completed all the standard Cherubs Nurseries training which involves Paediatric First Aid and Safeguarding.
There is so much more I could say about Cherubs Executive House but nothing beats coming to view the nursery for yourself. With that being said, I would like to invite you to come for a show round at your leisure to see what makes us so special.”
Note (as of 20th April 2018): Nursery Manager, Faye, is currently on Maternity Leave. During this time Nursery Manager, Laura (from Cherubs Vale View) will be overseeing the management of both nurseries. Laura is well-supported by Anne and Emma (Assistant Managers) and will spend time at both nurseries, every week, should you need to contact her. We are currently recruiting for a Maternity Leave Manager, to cover Laura at Cherubs Vale View and will communicate any changes to the management team in due course.

Our baby suite is a unique environment tailor made to stimulate very young minds as they begin to explore the world. Designed based on the latest Baby Brain research the baby suits are the perfect environment for your child.
Our toddler suite invites our young inquisitive and enthusiastic children to join in with the carefully planned and organised exciting activities throughout the day, all within a purpose built environment. There is real focus on providing lots of physical adventures as well as opportunities for quiet time, creative time and role play. Our open door policy encourages parents to pop in at any time.
Our Pre-School is a large and open environment where children are free to make their own choices. There are numerous activity areas and resources are stored at child-level so that children can lead their own play.
Heightening the senses of our children, our sensory area within our baby suite is an environment full of toys and objects which children love to see, hear and feel.
Our nursery provides the opportunity for our children to experience forestry style experiences right outside the door. These experiences provide children with the opportunity to discover the natural environment, play within it and share fun times with their friends hiding, building and exploring.
The next Bill Gates? Our nursery features the latest IT facilities for children to play and learn on. From our tablet tables to computers, Children are able to use these facilities as an essential learning resource, helping to equip them for the technological world we live in.
We know how important it is for children to eat a healthy balanced diet. This is why our nursery has a dedicated chef who develops nutritionally balanced meals for your child to enjoy and help them start good eating habits.
Blossom Educational Software
Blossom allows the childcare team to effectively track your child’s learning journey, electronically, via iPads. You can view this, at any time, and contribute via the parents smartphone app.
Food for thought
When it comes to nursery food our Nursery Chef, Maria is an absolute superstar. She has been with us since the very beginning and continues to blow our socks off with the dishes she prepares for the children. The children and parents love Maria and she is always willing to go the extra smile to ensure that the children get balanced, healthy and tasty food whilst at nursery.
As for standards we expect a lot from ourselves and so can you. Our kitchen is regularly expected by the Food Standards Agency, where we have been praised for our high standards. Our seasonal nursery menus are also well-balanced, varied and are always created with the School Foods Standards in mind. We’re also proud to cater for children with special dietary needs including allergies, intolerances and cultural preferences.

What do parents say about
Cherubs Executive House
“I am very happy with the nursery, management and all the staff. Big thanks to the girls in the Daisy room, they are doing a great job for my baby. She is always happy, friendly and with a clean nappy. I am feeling very calm leaving my daughter in the nursery and going to work. I know that she will get the best care from the girls.”
“My son has completely settled in. I feel 100% comfortable leaving him safe in the knowledge he's in the best place”
“Brilliant nursery!! I was very nervous putting my little boy into nursery after maternity leave but the staff at Cherubs were very welcoming. They spoke me through everything and asked what I would like my little boy to achieve from them. He has been attending full time since December 2016 and has come on so well. Every morning I drop him off to big smiles from all the girls and its the same when I pick him up after 9 hours!! I can't thank the girls enough for the attention they give him and the love he has for them!”
“Great staff who get to know children individually, listening to my concerns and made changes where appropriate. My son looks forward to the nursery. I'm really happy with communication from the nursery, the daily communication including photos.”
“I have found Cherubs to be a great nursery. The staff are always happy and easy to talk to. Every time I come in I am greeted with a happy atmosphere. My son has also developed extremely well and also they have been very helpful with him having had mobility issues.”
“I drop off and collect my niece at nursery and she is so excited, which means that we know that she enjoys it and it also makes us happy knowing that she is happy to go. The nursery is so nice with me, the staff and the children all being really friendly. They take time out to greet you and make the child feel welcome. When you pick up they tell you what she's been doing and what she's been doing and what she's eaten. All in all, it's a great nursery and they do a great job.”
