So you’re interested in Cherubs Kimberley? Let Nursery Manager, Rachael tell your more about it…
Cherubs Kimberley is a large nursery in the centre of Kimberley situated next to Sainsbury’s. There are regular bus links into Nottingham City Centre and further afield and direct access to the M1, which means it’s great for both local and commuting parents alike.
When it comes to Ofsted I’m proud to say that we have maintained our “Outstanding” rating for some time now. In our most recent Ofsted inspection, which took place on 14th February 2017, Ofsted Inspector Tracy Hopkins praised the nursery stating that “the highly qualified team has vast experience in providing first-class teaching and learning for all children. Key persons are extremely knowledgeable about children in their groups”. If you would like to read more, please download the report here.
We have a very well-established team here at Cherubs Kimberley. Many of my colleagues have been here for years and it’s great to see the same smiley faces everyday. It’s great for us and even better for the children as it means that they are able to build strong bonds with the childcare team, enhancing their time at nursery. All our childcare team are DBS checked and training towards accredited qualifications. We also train the entire team in Paediatric First Aid and Safe Guarding, the children’s safety and welfare is paramount and we know, first hand, that there can be no compromise on this.
Finally, a little more about me. I have been part of Cherubs Nurseries since 2008 and hold a Foundation Degree in Early Year’s and Level 5 in Management. I am also the Forest School’s lead for the whole of the Cherubs Nurseries group and am part of the Cherubs Nurseries Academy, helping train my colleagues. Childcare to me is a vocation, something I am truly passionate about, working with like-minded staff, building partnerships with families and building positive relationships with children so that through play with open ended resources children’s curiosity, wonder and development and as a partnership foster a positive outlook for learning and life.
There is so much more I would love to tell you about our nursery. However, nothing beats coming to view the nursery for yourself. With that being said, I would like to invite you to come for a show round at your leisure to see what makes us so special.

Our football coaching is hugely popular. Provided by local professionals, the weekly sessions for children offer a high energy, age-appropriate introduction to physical activity through football.
Our Family Room is a warm and inviting area. The room is often used for informal meetings but can be used for breast feeding and to meet other family needs.
Blossom Educational Software

Food for thought
Our seasonal menus are nutritionally balanced and varied, which allows the children to experience a wide variety of flavours and textures. As for standards we expect a lot from ourselves and so can you. Our kitchen is regularly expected by the Food Standards Agency, where we have been praised for our high standards.
