So you’re interested in Cherubs Kimberley? Let Nursery Manager, Rachael tell your more about it…
“Cherubs Day Nursery, Kimberley is a large nursery in the centre of Kimberley situated next to Sainsbury’s. There are regular bus links into Nottingham City Centre and further afield and direct access to the M1, which means it’s great for both local and commuting parents alike.
When it comes to Ofsted I’m proud to say that we have maintained our “Outstanding” rating for some time now. In our most recent Ofsted inspection, which took place on 14th February 2017, Ofsted Inspector Tracy Hopkins praised the nursery stating that “the highly qualified team has vast experience in providing first-class teaching and learning for all children. Key persons are extremely knowledgeable about children in their groups”. If you would like to read more, please download the report here.
We have a very well-established team here at Cherubs Kimberley. Many of my colleagues have been here for years and it’s great to see the same smiley faces everyday. It’s great for us and even better for the children as it means that they are able to build strong bonds with the childcare team, enhancing their time at nursery. All our childcare team are DBS checked and training towards accredited qualifications. We also train the entire team in Paediatric First Aid and Safe Guarding, the children’s safety and welfare is paramount and we know, first hand, that there can be no compromise on this.
Finally, a little more about me. I have been part of Cherubs Nurseries since 2008 and hold a Foundation Degree in Early Year’s and Level 5 in Management. I am also the Forest School’s lead for the whole of the Cherubs Nurseries group and am part of the Cherubs Nurseries Academy, helping train my colleagues. Childcare to me is a vocation, something I am truly passionate about, working with like-minded staff, building partnerships with families and building positive relationships with children so that through play with open ended resources children’s curiosity, wonder and development and as a partnership foster a positive outlook for learning and life.
There is so much more I would love to tell you about our nursery. However, nothing beats coming to view the nursery for yourself. With that being said, I would like to invite you to come for a show round at your leisure to see what makes us so special.”

Food for thought
As for nursery food, our Nursery Chef, June makes a fabulous roast dinner. Seeing as the Kitchen is at the heart of the nursery, right as you walk in, you’ll always smell everything from freshly-baked scones to June’s Pie of the Day.
As for standards we expect a lot from ourselves and so can you. Our kitchen is regularly expected by the Food Standards Agency, where we have been praised for our high standards. Our seasonal nursery menus are also well-balanced, varied and are always created with the School Foods Standards in mind. We’re also proud to cater for children with special dietary needs including allergies, intolerances and cultural preferences.

What do parents say about
Our child has had many opportunities and positive experiences during his time at Cherubs Kimberley. We know he is safe, happy and secure here. His confidence has increased massively and from an educational point of view, he has made great progress.
We have used Cherubs Kimberley for all 3 of our daughters. We are extremely happy with the care Cherubs provides and alll staff are very professional.
Cherubs staff go out of their way to make my child feel happy at nursery and I couldn't be more grateful. My daughter loves the nursery and is making good progress in her development too due to the range of activities and opportunities staff plan for the children. The outdoor facilities are also excellent, especially when compared to some smaller nurseries and the beach is a particular highlight for my daughter. Having external clubs which come into the nursery is something my daughter also loves and she always has a lot to say about what she has been doing each day. We are so happy that our child attends this nursery and can't comment highly enough on the staff.
