It’s always so important for us to recognise the great work our colleagues do. From little lifts throughout the year to our big “get togethers” we always work hard to ensure that our colleagues feel appreciated every minute, of every single day. One of the ways we do this is at our annual Summer Ball and Awards. Now in it’s 4th year, the event is a great platform for colleagues across the group to get together, let their hair down and celebrate everyone’s contribution to the success of Cherubs Nurseries.
On Saturday 7th July 2018 we joined 130 of our colleagues at Nottingham’s DeVere Conference Centre for a night of glitz, glamour and celebration. After a champagne drinks reception (with cocktail ice-lollies) and a delicious three-course meal we recognised our long-serving colleagues and Newcomer and Employees of the Year. We then recognised individuals and our nurseries that have continually displayed our “star qualities” and made a real difference over the past year.
Reflecting on the event, Susan Mills (Managing Director), said “Our Summer Ball and Awards really is one of my favourite events of the year. It’s really the only opportunity that all our colleagues get to come together in one space and celebrate each others successes. We’re always growing, trying new things and striving for the best and it’s our colleagues that help us achieve this. Of course, we continually reward our colleagues and give them access to some of the best benefits around but I really believe that our Summer Ball and Awards is something that sets us apart and highlights our commitment to and investment in our colleagues.”
