The National Health Service turned 70 on 5th July 2018. As we’re partnered with our local children’s and neonatal wards throughout 2018 we just couldn’t help ourselves, so joined in on the celebrations. From themed-activities and role play at many of our nurseries to doing “golden deeds” throughout the day, we really did make it one to remember. At Cherubs Wynndale children headed over to local Hospital, King’s Mill in Mansfield and presented Ward 25 with a beautiful treats hamper for the staff to enjoy. Down the road at Cherubs Pleasley the children baked and hand-decorated biscuits before taking them down to the Community Surgery for the staff to enjoy there.
Heather Nash, Nursery Manager at Cherubs Wynndale said “Our parents and colleagues have really got behind our charity of the year, so we have been able to do so much already this year, to support Ward 25 at the King’s Mill Hospital. The hamper we presented this morning was just a small token of our appreciation to the outstanding work that the NHS staff do.”
The day really was a great opportunity to celebrate one of the nation’s most loved institutions and to appreciate the vital role the service plays in all our lives.
