This morning we presented our 2017 charity partner, Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance with a cheque for £7,135. A massive thank you to all our parents and families who have supported our whacky fundraising events, popped along to our summer fun days and bought a cake or two, we really appreciate it. Well done to our Cherubs Nurseries colleagues too, who have been the masterminds behind all our fundraising from mop chops to marathons, you’re all stars.
Susan Mills, Managing Director said “This year has been another successful one on the fundraising front. Once again our colleagues have really got behind our charity partner and have raised another outstanding amount. Since 2014 we’ve raised almost £30,000 for local and national charities and to be part of an organisation that takes their fundraising and community support so seriously is something that I’m incredibly proud of. We’re currently in the process of selecting our 2018 charity partner, with the help of our parents and colleagues. I can’t wait to see who we’ll support next year.”
Karen Carter, Community Fundraiser for the charity added “This year has been an exciting one for our the Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance; our new helicopter, which is bigger and faster, went into service in June and we started carrying blood on board in September. All of these advances mean that we can give some of the most seriously injured and ill people in Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire the very best chance of survival possible during their greatest hour of need. As a Charity, we receive no direct Government funding so rely on the generosity of local people and businesses, like Little Cherubs Nurseries, who have kindly supported us throughout the year helping us to continue saving lives every day of the year. So, thank you. Together we can keep saving lives.”
