Children wear yellow to support YoungMinds

On Friday 9th October 2020, we joined thousands of schools, office and community groups who took part in #HelloYellow for World Mental Health Day. #HelloYellow is all about showing young people that they’re not alone when struggling with their mental health. As part of the event, we encouraged all children and staff to wear something yellow. Our nurseries also themed activities around the colour yellow and encouraged further donations though raffles and bake sales.

With the wonderful support and generous donations from our parents and staff, we raised £644.81. This will be combined with our running total, which you can view on our Community Life page. A massive thank you to the parents and staff at our sister school, Saville House School who also took part in #HellowYellow and contributed to the above total.

YoungMinds (the cause behind #HelloYellow) is our 2020 charity partner. The partnership has recently been extended through until 2021 as a result of the impact of COVID-19. Susan Mills (Managing Director) said “Each year we support a different charity or cause. Our nurseries were excited to support YoungMinds this year, but many events have had to be postponed due to COVID-19. With this in mind, we made the decision to extend our partnership through to November 2021. This means that YoungMinds will benefit from 23 months of fundraising. We are looking forward to hopefully resuming normal service, where fundraising is concerned from Spring 2021.”
