At Cherubs Nurseries, we are committed to making the communities we serve better places to live, work and grow up in. To this end, we select a charity partner to support throughout the year and to be the beneficiary of the majority of our fundraising. This year we are proud to support Children for Cancer UK – one of the UK’s leading childhood cancer charities in the United Kingdom. For the past 35-years Children with Cancer UK have worked tirelessly to fund vital research, support families and raise childhood cancer awareness.
Childhood cancer is rare – around 1,800 new cases are diagnosed every year in the UK. This means that childhood cancers account for only 1% of all cancers in the UK. The highest incidence rates for all children’s cancers combined are in the under 5’s for both sexes, with almost half (46%) of all cases in children being diagnosed in this age group. This has been the main driver for us to support this charity.

A big part of this is our charity partner, which is nominated by our parents and staff and partners. We were introduced to Children with Cancer UK in 2023 and have been inspired by their work. This combined with having children and families we care for being affected by cancer, we feel obliged to do our part to support the people who have supported us. We feel doing this is the best way to go about this.”
