Cracking Easter – 484 easter gifts donated to Hospitals and Food Banks

This week we donated over 450 easter eggs, easter-activities and cuddly bunnies to our local children’s wards and food banks. Our teams visited Nottingham City Hospital (Nottingham Hospitals Charity), Kings Mill Hospital Mansfield (Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust) and Bassetlaw Hospital taking time to personally deliver the wonderful donations we received.

We know that Hospitals tend to get lots of chocolate Easter egg donations, so we made sure that we asked our parents to donate themed activities and cuddly toys too, which many of you did. To avoid unnecessary waste we contacted all wards, ahead of time, asking how many eggs they would like us to bring. After all numbers were confirmed we realised that we had a few spare, so these were donated to our local The Trussell Trust food banks.

A massive thank you to all our parents, staff and children for your generous donations, we really appreciate it! We also really enjoyed partnering with local Residential Home, Alderhouse Care, in Nottingham – who supported our Nottingham nurseries in their egg collection and helped them deliver the donations earlier today. Next up we’ve got our summer fun days, raising money for our local children’s wards. All money raised will be used to purchase resources and equipment to further enhance the family and playrooms on these wards.
