Hello Edwinstowe!

We are proud that this week we welcomed our twelfth location to Cherubs Nurseries. Coming just after a year after our last acquisition we are excited to welcome Bright Beginnings Day Nursery, Edwinstowe to our growing nursery group. Bright Beginnings Day Nursery is a rural 60-place nursery situated in Edwinstowe, Nottinghamshire, bringing the amount of childcare places offered by Cherubs Nurseries to 934.

Shortly after the nursery joins our group a planned refurbishment will take place to completely transform the nursery into an eco-friendly and curiosity approach driven setting. The curiosity approach is a modern day approach to early childhood, taking parts from Reggio, Steiner, Te Whariki and Montessori. When you step inside Cherubs Edwinstowe you won’t find bright coloured walls or plastic toys. Instead, you’ll see wooden materials, natural resources and neutral backgrounds – all supporting the children to explore, imagine and be curious. The curiosity approach is about developing independent thinking, stronger non-verbal communication, language and verbal communication, problem-solving and lifelong learners.

Susan Mills, Managing Director commented “Growth is always exciting and I’m looking forward to adding Bright Beginnings, soon to be Cherubs Edwinstowe to our nursery group. Bright Beginnings is a well-known nursery in the local community with a good reputation – a perfect addition to Cherubs Nurseries. As with all our acquisitions of existing nurseries we will work closely with the owners, staff and parents to ensure that the transition period is a smooth one for everyone involved, causing minimal disruption to nursery life. I am also looking forward to making Cherubs Edwinstowe our first “curiosity approach” inspired and run nursery, something that we have never done before.”
