Jess Fudger shortlisted for Nursery Practitioner of the Year at Nursery World Awards
At Cherubs Nurseries, celebrating our people is key in building a culture where everyone feels valued. Each year, we select individuals to nominate for industry awards. We recently entered the Nursery World awards and are proud to share that Jess Fudger (Early Years Educator and Group Forest School’s Lead) has been shortlisted for Nursery Practitioner of the Year.
The Nursery World Awards has 26-categories that celebrate best practice and recognise the sector’s most important asset – its people. These prestigious awards are open to everyone involved in childcare and education and will highlight the inspirational work that goes on, even when times are tough. Winners are chosen by a distinguished panel of expert judges that is representative of the diversity of disciplines and organisations that make up the sector. The judges will have the knowledge and experience to assess each entry according to its objectives and available resources and budget.
Following the announcement and news that she had been shortlisted, Jess said “I am ecstatic to be shortlisted and really can’t believe it! The support and guidance I have received from not just my Nursery Manager, but the wider Cherubs Nurseries team has been instrumental in getting me to where I am today. There are so many opportunities to develop in our wonderful sector and I can’t wait to celebrate at the awards ceremony in September – regardless of the outcome.”
Harry Mills (Chief Brand Officer) who prepared this year’s nominations added “Every year, our nominations allow us another opportunity to spotlight and celebrate our amazing people. When putting these nominations together it doesn’t just highlight what the individual has done, but brings together feedback from their managers, colleagues, and parents too. When combined, these nominations make for inspirational reading and make us incredibly proud to have such talent working for us and inspiring the next generation. Jess will join her Nursery Manager and the Cherubs Nurseries Senior Management Team on Saturday 30th September at the Brewery in London for the Awards Ceremony. Ahead of the ceremony, we would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone else who has been shortlisted the very best of luck.
